BeautyCraft Review

BeautyCraft is the innovative App for natural beauty and remedies. The recipes offered on this app are simple and easy to follow; with ingredients you can find around the house to create a natural beauty treatment. The app is convenient and can be used to whip up a quick beauty remedy in your kitchen which are all natural and inexpensive. There is also a section describing the tools you will need to create such treatments, these too are everyday household utensils. The ingredients glossary is a great feature, describing different natural ingredients and their beneficial properties to enhance your natural beauty. The layout and design of the App is very straight forward and can be used by women (and men) of all ages! I rate this App 3/5, it's great to use but I would prefer more features and interactivity. Overall, these natural DIY beauty treatments are fantastic, and will keep you feeling radiant and healthy – all from this handy App.

Photomath Review

Photomath - Scan your math questions

Available on: The App Store and Google Play

Photomath is a smart tool in the form of an app that helps you out with your math questions, by scanning a math question with your phone (written or even on a digital surface).

Photomath 9 times out of 10 is able to analyze the math question and give you the answer, not only does it give you the answer, but it also gives you all the steps that lead you to that answer, and keeps an extensive history of your scanned math answers, how neat is that!

The potential in Photomath is massive and it is pretty new to the App Store's, once given time to mature some more, Photomath is going to be known widely for its smart ability to solve math questions for you, as well as giving you the step by steps to each question,
which is an ideal feature for this app.

Use the Back Camera to Scan Math Questions

The only negative I see with Photomath is that it is unable to read some math questions in its current iteration, but give it some time, I'm sure it will improve on that minor downfall.

Trip View Lite Review

Trip view lite is an amazing app which helps you find the a way to get to your destination, you can choose either by bus or by train, it can show the time way ahead that you are able to actually know the train arrival time for the next day, however I only use this app for train, it's super hard for me to actually track the bus time because I normally have no idea about where the bus stop is located, also it doesn't show the best route which may lead us to spend unnecessary time, one last thing is that it doesn't really save your plan, by that I mean if I want to go from Macquarie uni station to central station, it won't save it so next time I have to type it in again which is super annoying especially for some lazy bone like me. If app can allow you to save the plan and make the bus track easier this could be a perfect app.

Instagram Review

"Instagram is like Facebook but instead of statuses and posts there are only pictures."

Users can upload pictures and videos onto their profile and edit them to make them look pretty.  There are about 20-30 different effects to choose from that alter the colour/brightness of the image.

Friends can be tagged onto pictures/videos by their friends and hash tags can be used to give pictures personality and increase views.  Users are able to follow their friends and other people that share the same interests.  People can like and comment on photos that come up on their feed.

I like Instagram better than Facebook because it is less addictive.  It's a good way to store photos neatly- like an online photo album.  I would enjoy Instagram even more if it had a tool to collaborate multiple pictures to make them into a collage- rather than having to download a separate app to do this.

Twitter App Review

Twitter App

Available on: The App Store, Google Play, Windows Store and more

The Twitter App is simply put a Great App, it features the essentials of Twitter, including the Twitter feed made up of who you follow, named Home, your Notifications area, Messages area to check your Twitter Inbox and the "Me" section which is where you can find your profile and edit it when and if you wish.

The design of the Twitter App is elegant, simple and nothing too fancy, but less is more, I've never really encountered any crashes or issues when using the App which is another plus.

Knowing Twitter and when reviewing Twitter's App, I find it hard to look for any negatives with it's app.

But if I had to criticize one thing about Twitter's App it would be when I go to search for something, when I see what's top trending with a big picture just under the search bar when you click the search icon, I find that distracting and sometimes forget what I was about to search at first.

Dotamax+ Review

Dotamax+ is an Amazing free app just for people who play Dota, it shows the stat of your skills so that you can easily see which roll is the best roll for you to play in the game. It summarizes the winning rate of you playing solo matches in general, it also shows the general winning rate when you are playing in party with your friends, what's interesting is that it shows specifically about your winning rate with your different friends, friends with lower winning rate are classified as burden(so that you know maybe you shouldn't play with the person if you want the victory!!). A lot of other stats are shown in the app like how were you performing in the previous match which helps players a lot in understanding how they can perform better. It basically meets all my need for this game.

Makeup Genius by L'oreal Paris Review

This free app allows you to try on L’oreal makeup products before you buy them, without having to go into the store, simply by using the front-facing camera on your smartphone. It scans your face and allows you to apply a range of different types of cosmetics in different shades. You are able to see exactly how the physical product would look on your face in reality, at different angles, in order to decide whether or not you wish to purchase the product. You can try everything from foundation to liquid eyeliner and more. I have used the life like mirror to aid in makeup application when I want to see where a product is used and to guide when applying product. The only downfall of this App is that at times, the product scanner does not work to scan new products you come across to try. Overall this is a great app and I highly recommend it to any 'beautyholic' or 'makeup junkie'. I would rate this application 4/5. I'm sure you will enjoy this App, available for both apple and android phones.

Pandora Review

I have been using this app for a few years now.  It is very easy to use.  All you have to do is search for a song, artist or album and Pandora will create your own unique playlist.  As long as you have the internet, you can listen to heaps of songs via radio.  The songs can be liked or disliked to personalize the playlist even further.  New songs and artists can be discovered using this app.  Playlists can be saved and listened to next time.  I love this app and rate it a 4/5.  It could be better if more than five songs could be skipped within a playlist.  This can be annoying if you don’t like more than five of the songs.  Or if you’re really eager to listen to the whole playlist you cannot get through it as fast.  This app would also be better if there were no advertisements.

Game Review: Fly Fall: Slice Frenzy

Fly Fall: Slice Frenzy

Available on: Google Play

Fly Fall is a fun casual game much similar to the Mega Hit mobile slicer Fruit Ninja, your mission instead is to slice bugs, although, making this game a little more unique besides just that is that it has dynamic controls, you don't just swipe in this slicer, you also tap, swipe to eliminate the flies and tap to eliminate the bugs.

The bugs in Fly Fall include Flies, Bees, Dragonflies, Ladybugs, Beetles, and of course the enemy Spiders.

Fly Fall features two game modes, offering the player some nice variety, including 2 Minute Challenge which is a less intense mode yet still challenging, and Frenzy Mode which has no time limit but you have to avoid the spiders, otherwise 3 strikes and your out!

The player can keep track of his or her highscore in the leaderboard area.

Fly Fall also includes Powerups, found near the Bin in the game and also floating around, there's 3 Powerups in total, and 2 out of the 3 I noticed helped me greatly to obtain a higher score.

Powerups include:

- The 2X Powerup Doubles your score for a limited time.

- The Gas Bomb Elimates all bugs on screen once tapped on.
- The Portal Powerup takes you to another location which is a interesting.

While Fly Fall: Slice Frenzy may not be full of millions of features, it makes for a great casual game in your spare time, it's two game modes always have something new in store for me when I open the game, and it's colorful graphics are surely pleasing, did I mention it has awesome sound effects too?
