Review of Tinder app

We use our phones everyday for almost everything being born into the digital age. The Apps we use have a growing impact on our lives.

We will be doing a REVIEW of the Tinder Application with help from the public.

The Tinder App has taken the dating world by storm and has made the idea of online and mobile dating more socially acceptable today.

Tinder gives people an easy way to meet people online through your Facebook account (although you remain anonymous). The app then matches you to other Tinder users in the vicinity– whether you’re at home, at work, in a bar!

The app is free to download, and only takes a few seconds

We all came up with the idea of doing an App review – in particular Tinder!

Jackie- Brought a camera for filming, asked some questions in the interview, final embedding of video and upload on Youtube

Analiza- Came up with a plan for the video, Asked questions in the interview, wrote the introduction and description and put the video together

Dean- Asked questions in the interview and contributed ideas for the video

Sam- Asked questions in the interview and contributed ideas for ways of filming 

The Spotify App

The Spotify App is a great way to listen to music on your smartphone or tablet. You can search for any song, album or artist and create your own playlists.  The function of being able to share your playlists with friends is handy and useful for sharing your favourite tracks and promoting your favourite artists.

Access a huge range of music form the most well-known artists to niche artists and build your biggest music collection on this platform. The Spotify radio function allows you to listen to music similar to a chosen song and discover new music similar to what you enjoy.

On the free level - you have access to any music, album or artist as well as can listen to your own playlists in shuffle mode. However, you will have to listen to pop up advertisements at times. This is not bad, as you have access everything and listening to a short add is a small price to pay.

If you do have a subscription to the premium version; you will be able to play and search any song, album or artist. Create and download playlists for offline listening ad well as enjoy ad-free continuous music. The sound quality is also much better on the premium version.

A new feature allows plays music that matches your tempo when you are running or exercising! Overall this is a fantastic App for music streaming and I would recommend investing in the Premium version however the free version is great too! I would rate this App a 4.9/5, there is always room for improvement ;)

St.George Review

St. George is a bank for anyone who doesn’t know…and they have created an app so that customers can easily manage their bank accounts on their phones.  I use this app at least 2-3 times a week to check my balance, make transfers and check my spending.  Scheduled payments can be set up using the app for weekly/fortnightly or monthly payments.  This is very useful for people that need to pay rent or contribute to other accounts in order to earn interest.  Anyone that has the internet can login in less than 30 seconds and bank online J  GREAT APP!!

Game Review: Dumb Way to Die 2

Dumb way to die 2 is an amazing game for killing time, I downloaded it mainly for the kids and it seems that they enjoy it a lot, in the game there are different levels and different challenges that you can choose to complete. It sort of helps kids because some of the challenges you do need to think to get through it, also it is great for training their reaction. Everytime you fail complete the challenges characters in the game they die in a funny way so you don't have to worry about it would be too bloody for the kids. It is a great option for those people who sometimes get sick and tired of looking after kids because with this app you can chill both yourself and the kids. If the app can get more different challenges that would be awesome.

Game Review: Stick Hero

Stick Hero - Frustratingly Fun

Available on: The App Store and Google Play

Stick Hero is a fun and simple casual game where you try and get the highest score as possible, with your objective being getting to each of the next platforms in the game and making sure to land your "stick" in the red area of each platform, and when you don't land your "stick" correctly, its game over, collect the cherries to unlock new characters, the game is super simplistic which I believe is part of the success to Stick Hero.

Stick Hero may not have a lot of depth but is an easy to pick up fun little game.

The Smiling Mind App

Smiling Mind App is a free Application making meditation easy and accessible. Just take a few minutes out of your day to mediate, anywhere and anytime – put a smile on your mind! Meditation is a great way to relive stress and tension, and helping you have positive thoughts.

This App based program has been developed by a team of psychologists specialising in youth/adolescent therapy. This not-for profit initiative gives users 6 free meditation programs focused on Mindfulness for different age groups from young children to Adults.

This App is great tool for those of us with hectic lives, and allows us to take a break from the chaos to focus on our inner happiness. People with depression or anxiety have found this app to aid in their recovery and have positive impacts on the lives of every user.

I have definitely found this app to bring out a happier, healthier and more kind-hearted nature :)

I would rate this App a 5/5 purely for its overall benefits to the user. Such a remarkable initiative!

Airbnb App Review

This is a great App if you’re into traveling or spontaneous weekends away! On the other hand, if you have some extra space at home put it to good use.

For travellers: This app allows you to plan your stay in a thousands of unique accommodations. You can find homes or rooms for rent all from your mobile device, with accommodation all around the world. Find a place that’s perfect for you! Browse and book your stay from the palm of your hand: anytime, anywhere! It’s a simple and easy to use App. There are over 60,000 listings in more than 34,000 cities; choose the style and level of comfort that suits you. The app allows you to access your itinerary, message your host and get directions to the accommodation. As well as being able to create a Wish List of properties and share them with friends.

For hosts: you can make a property or room listing and manage all inquiries and guest bookings from your mobile device. Get in contact and communicate with potential guests as well as advertise your listing and give special offers. Easily update your availability calendar and check of your to do list. Access Hospitality standards and connect with host community groups.

Overall this is a great app whether you are a traveller or a host; allows you to manage your stay/accommodation listing with plenty of support services and features to facilitate your AirBnb experience. I would rate this App 4.5/5. Happy Travels! :)
